Art Van Furniture paid in full, never received!

I purchased a bedroom set on 3/12/2020. The last day customers could pick up furniture in IL stores was 3/21/2020 due to covi-19. Mine was scheduled to be delivered either to store or bolingbrook warehouse on 4/2/2020. No one has heard anything from this company! I am now out of $2023.99 with no furniture. I need furniture and now am looking to buy elsewhere. I don't even want it anymore, I just want my money back! Should I be contacting a lawyer? They used the covi-19 as an excuse and laid off all their employees when they were originally scheduled to close May 31st.

Furniture paid for in full never deivered!

I purchased a livng set from Art Van on March 12, that was supposed to be delivered from the Michigan warehouse to the Bolingbrook warehouse on March 25, and due to the corona virus outbreak I was never notified that the store and warehouse would be closed. I really woud like my new furniture that I have paid for in full, or a refund. There are no working telephone numbers and the website is down. I would hate to think they have taken my money and ran. I have been a very loyal customer to them. Thank you

Bad business

I purchased $3200 dollars worth of furniture in June with a warranty. The couch was delivered with issues they came out 3 time before replacing it on thanksgiving. They told me to give it a try & they dont make furniture like they used too. I have contacted the stores same piece the frame is broke on the sectional. We saved up for years & still had to finance. We contacted them & they told us that someone would come in February. 2 wks later I saw them closing on the news & headed up there. The manager of the Taylor office said theres nothing they can do & there is no longer a warranty, to take it up with my credit card company. The credit card company tells me to talk to them. Ive left message on the 1800 number weekly Im out about 2400 dollars and still owe $1700. How is this fair?

I purchased a bed from this store a couple weeks ago, and then you closed the week I was supposed to pick up my bed. I just moved out the week I was supposed to have my bed, and now have to sleep on the floor because your company failed to contact me. I need to know if I am getting my bed, or if I am getting my money back.

Whittle your own furniture instead

I just wanted to share my recent experience with Art Van Furniture. I ordered furniture in October. I was told my custom couch, which means I changed the color they happened to have at the warehouse at the time, and was told it would always 8-10 weeks. I ordered a rug that I was told would be ready at the end of the month. I paid for delivery. The second week of January and I hadnt heard from the store at all. I called and was told my rug has been ready, but I wasnt contacted, and I could pick it up anytime. I was assured that the delivery I paid for would cover however many trips it takes to deliver the items because they like to clear out the warehouse as soon as possible. I was also told that the couch that should have been ready to be delivered was pushed back to the end of February, which I was also not contacted about. The person I spoke to had no answers as to why it was delayed for so long. I picked up my rug today and was told that it is now pushed until the end of March. I was only told that because I went to the store to pick up an item that should have been delivered. I called to cancel my order because waiting FIVE MONTHS for a couch is completely asinine. I am able to cancel my order if I pay a 25% restocking fee when they do eventually get the furniture in another 10 weeks - the maximum of time it takes to make an entire couch. Clearly, this couch has not been upholstered at all if this is the amount of time they still need to complete it. The reason my couch is going to be delayed so long is because at the end of December or early January there was a material shortage. That is when it should have been done and ready for shipping. Its IMPOSSIBLE to cancel my order because they have already requested materials from the Detroit Sofa Company, who apparently has no materials and needs to push back the processing of the couch 10 extra weeks. I spoke to 3 employees who offered zero concern about their poor customer service. The last woman I spoke to was impolite at best and insisted a 25% restocking fee was the only way to process a cancelled order. When I asked why their policy is not to contact customers when there is an issue with and order she said I dont know why you werent contacted. I can apologize for that. She did not utter an apology. So, she just wanted to let me know she had the ability to apologize but she was not going to to do so. The moral of my long story is that you should just whittle your own furniture. Youll have it sooner than I have my couch.

Extended warranty of furniture

In July 2018 I bought a living room set and a dining room set with an extended warranty. right before the bankruptcy the chair on the dining room set broke and I filed a claim. they did come out to inspect and said they would have to order a new seat and would be back to repair never showed up. In 2019 I bought another living room set with the extended warranty

We purchased this gel foam mattress from art van with the protection plan and mattress pad, which they said would protect our mattress from stains! The sides are bulged out of the mattress with their gel foam lies. Warranty lies! Anyone who shops there knows their warranty is not cheap! The middle of the mattress is no longer firm. I guess whatever Gel/foam was in there is all on the sides Now. We purchased this mattress because my husband had very bad back pain, now we have nothing a mattress pad cant even help this. Each person that talked us into this protection cover and plan has just told us about the spot voiding thE warranty. How can anyone sleep peacefully doing this to customers? $2000 for this piece of crap bed And 899 for the headboard, we had to duct tape it because the little rip kept going- now we have a new rip appear recently. So where are the rips coming from? We have it all... Leather protection, wood protection, glass cleaner... All to make sure our furniture stays in good condition. We cant even give thus crap away. Looks like it is rotted, you barely touch it and it cracks! Look how we are sleeping because we trusted out business with this scam company. We have been loyal customers for over 25 years- spent thousands of dollars with them! Im done with them! I found the mattress cover warranty and it says there is no way a spot will get on your mattress with it on there. We only take it off to wash it, never slept on the mattress without it. We called art van out because of the warranty and the man came out with a infra red light and said he found a spot on the mattress with his light so the warranty is void. So how did a spot get on it if we have the $200 dollar mattress protector pad on it? According to thE mattress pad warranty we should get a replacement or have it cleaned for free. None of this has happened. They will not bulge to fix it because it has a spot you cant even see with your naked eye- with their lying mattress pad on it! Not to mention thE headboard is just cracking up and peeling like crazy.
