Purchased furniture in December. Company sold me a gold warranty and less than 2 months later noticed all supports on back of couches are broke in 2. Contacted artvan. Submitted a claim. Less than a week later they filed bankruptcy and there is no way to contact them. Evidently they knew they were filing bankruptcy, it is sad they can take advantage of people especially a single mother and sell a warranty for services they know they will not be providing.

User's recommendation: Do not buy warranty.

I purchased 2 sets. One for me and one for my dad as a Christmas gift.

I will look to see the name of them but they were both couch and love seat not a sectional. Both love seats broke within 60 days.

I'm just surprised they could sell 6 year warranties less than 90 days prior to closing and not feel bad about it. A bankruptcy isn't something they thought up overnight.

My sectional is same color & had same frame issues. That’s why I asked.

They came out 3 times before replacing with a couch that developed the same issue within 3 mths. I also bought the gold warranty.

I am still paying on the art van card & they won’t honor the warranty or replace the couch. I’m currently fighting with the credit card company.

They didn't deliver

I paid for a couch in full of 1300 dollar and paid the 129 delivery fee and now two days later they aren't delivering my couch and are shutting there doors down and won't answer there phone to give me a refund and I feel I can't get my refund back yet and havent even received my couch

I hope you were wise and used a credit card. Just dispute the charge.

You can also dispute a debit card payment, but that is problematical. If you paid by check, you will become part of the bankruptcy action and will, no doubt lose your money.

Never buy warranty protection

These people take us all for stupid. We bought leather couches from art van with the warranty protection that was supposed to cover anything according to the salesman. And since it was leather I was not worrying about stains , I specifically asked about discoloration and was lyed to that warranty specifically covers that. They gave us the maintenance kit and the color started coming of just by applying their treatment. Now we have beige couches that originally were dark brown and they tell me the warranty does not cover it and will repair them for $600 but again they can not guarantee the quality or the work. What a bunch of jerks and scammers

I paid for quality custom made furniture which was delivered to me defective but unbeknownst to me within the time frame of the seven days allowed to report it. Nonetheless I did report it shortly after that I discovered/noticed the defect, and I am having to go through changes in order to get the problem corrected. I am a new customer at Art Van, and I am very dissatisfied with the way I am being handled regarding this issue. My sofa has two different arms, the left side arm does not match, or look like the right side arm, and it is very noticeable. A service technician came out to my home to address the left side arm, or the defective arm, but it did not help the defect at all. My furniture is very beautiful furniture but it arrived to me defective and I paid for custom made furniture, please assist me with this matter, your kindness, consideration and support would be greatly appreciated. Let the company propose a solution

Go to a different furniture store.

The part that was broken by the assembly team hasnt arrived. One story after the other in regards to the door that needs to be put in. This was back in August and here it is February. We were offered a new console but after watching the guys trying to assemble the one we have, we just wanted a door. I have made too many calls and been patient. I think 6 months is long enough. I wont be going back for other needs.

I purchased a sectional along with a dresser and chest set. Everything was coordinated to be delivered, then later I was informed that I needed to directly pick up one piece while they would be delivering the remaining items. I was called last minute to clarify a delivery window of 11am to 2pm. After having to take time off to wait for delivery and no delivery I had to return to work and received a phone call an hour later for delivery. Now after calls with the company they are refusing delivery and that I now have to go back and either hire my own movers when the purchase contract stipulated free delivery. This company is a huge scam and will do anything to nickle and dime their customers. How do you call yourself a legitimate business when all your sales people are some of the sleaziest people, I can not in good concise refer to them as business people, I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

My furniture failed from normal use in 4 years. Art Van used to Value their customers and I feel they no longer do. I will no longer purchase nor will I ever tell anyone to purchase from them.
