I bought Art Van's least expensive love seat which needed repairing after two years of hardly any use. It was past the one year warranty.

I Talked to the corporate manager Stacey Jarrett who did nothing but repeat that the one year warranty was past and it would cost money to repair it. She also tried to use a bogus metaphor of it being like a car you have to pay to repair after warranty. A car has moving parts; a couch is a stationary object. A decent quality love seat should not need repairing after just two years.

I am being charged $65 for them to come out and look at it plus whatever it costs to fix it. I am never buying furniture from Art Van again.

I'm having that same issue right now. My love seat was $1800 so it's the quality of their merchandise.


Well by your own admission you stated that you purchased their LEAST expensive loveseat. Have you ever heard the phrase "You get what you pay for?" Seriously.

That statement has meaning. The better the quality, the more expensive. And it IS the same as buying a car, moving parts or not. A warranty is a warranty regardless of how long you've had the item.

Next time spend a little more money for better quality.

Stop blaming the store because you choose price over quality.
