Art Van do NOT take care of the customer as they so claim.

The beginning of January 2016 I purchased an all leather lounge chair from their Saginaw Michigan store, when I went to the receiving area to pick it up I noticed the box had been taped up, I didn't really think anything of it because I thought it was just a damaged box.

When I got home I placed the box in my garage instead of opening it because I'm an active duty Military member and was getting ready to move to another duty station the following week.

Well, on January 13th the movers came and packed EVERYTHING and headed to my new duty station in New Orleans LA. On January 15th when my furniture was delivered and the movers unloaded and unpacked everything, I opened the box with my lounge chair in it and began to assemble the chair only to discover that one of the armrest was missing.

I immediately contacted the store that I purchased the chair from and informed them of the situation. They gave me their deepest apologies and told me that they would check with their warehouse and have the armrest delivered to me in 4 to 6 weeks. I thought to myself that four to six weeks seem to be a minor long time for a transaction that only took me 15 minutes.

After four weeks have passed I contact at the store again inquiring as to why and not received the armrest and was told that they are waiting for you to be delivered from their warehouse in Detroit. Again we apologize for the inconvenience and would have my arm rest in the mail as soon as it arrived from their warehouse.

Well, needless to say a few more weeks pass as a matter of fact another four weeks had passed and I had not yet received my armrest. So, March 17th 2016 I contacted the store again after waiting on hold for several minutes the lady came back to the phone and inform me that my arm rest was on a container ship coming from overseas and that once it got to America that my arm rest would be delivered to me by mid-april.

Needless to say I was upset and I still am because Art Van lied to me I feel that I have been ripped off I have a brand new home and Slidell Louisiana and a brand new lounge chair that sitting in the middle of my floor with no armrest when guests come over it's embarrassing until I tell them my story oh how it only took me 15 minutes to buy this chair but it's taking the store almost a half a year ticket me the armrest that one of their employees obviously open the box and gave it to another customer my question is why couldn't they do the same thing for me why am I being lied to over and over again and now I'm being told that my arm rest is on a container ship coming from China.

I love the people in the city of Saginaw Michigan I was stationed there for 4 years this is a very patriotic town the people are very very appreciative of their military members however the representation of the Art Van store in Saginaw Michigan is no way any reflection on the beautiful people who live in Saginaw Michigan.

Yet I am still waiting for my armrest of which I doubt very seriously what come anytime soon if I'm being repeatedly lied to and told one thing after another that is completely different from the other Art Van on Tittabawassee and Saginaw Michigan you should be ashamed of yourself of how you treat your customers and the life that your representatives tell to cover up you're bad customer service.

no help from Jay the salesman from store, regional manageR, Bert, no further interest in satisfied customer. He is aggressive, rude and someone that i rather not talk to again.

As for comfort, very little padding.You set in the x wide recliner you can feel wood down the center of the seat. Same is with armrest. wood around the entire armrest and if I Had to guess the padding 1/2" on both. No lumbar support.Feels like under stuffed.

Even where it is stuffed it feels lumped up and then around the area you can feel no stuffing. would get better quality at Big Lots. this was a waste of time and money. I am really concerned that the faux letter will wear out in the areas where you can feel the wood, Forgot to say little o no stuffing on front of seat i really wish that II looked around more but i felt rushed because he wanted to go home or he made the sale so he was done with me so go help someone else, i don't agree with that.

First and foremost you should make sure your customer is done and happy, that didn't have other things they may want to purchase, No is there anything anything I can help you with. It feels like i'm done with you. Last time I tried to talk to Jay the salesman, he wouldn't reply to internal emails asking him to call.When I finally spoke to him he actually lied to me.

I brought a friend with me who can verify how the sale went down. I when to Ashley because they are known for quality furniture.l guess that is not the case anmore, Now its just the sale and after that you are on you own BUYER BEWARE!!!!
