I purchased a bed from this store a couple weeks ago, and then you closed the week I was supposed to pick up my bed. I just moved out the week I was supposed to have my bed, and now have to sleep on the floor because your company failed to contact me. I need to know if I am getting my bed, or if I am getting my money back.

Don’t buy Detroit company sofa!

Bought a Detroit sofa company sectional from art van it is so bad you can’t lay on it because it sinks in so much and you sink in between the cracks because the pillows shift so much. Had a art van technician come out and said it was normal. We will probably not buy again from art van because they would not back up there warranty. They were good in the past but something has changed. Maybe new owner?

Terrible experience

Art Vans repair guy totally ruined a perfectly good dresser so they sent us out a new one. Both delivery men were extremely rude and seemed to just hate life. I watched one of them spit in my driveway and I have it on camera. Maybe it wouldn’t have bothered me so much if they weren’t already so hateful towards me for no reason. I also caught one of them come to a dead stop in my hallway to stare at my daughters graduation picture! Was VERY *** and I never want to shop at Art Van again.

Unethical behavior

6/4/19 - Picked up four dining room table chairs. Returned them 6/8/19 due to the color not matching our kitchen. Called the morning of 6/8/19 to ask about the return policy. She stated there was a 15% restocking fee but that it may be waived because we were returning within a week and planned on purchasing a different color in the chairs. When we got to the store the Manager did not want to deal with us whatsoever (due to us listening to the phone conversation between he and the salesperson). He was putting the salesperson in the middle (which was unacceptable). When the Manager finally came in person to speak with us his arms were folded across his chest and he was ice cold. We explained we had paid cash, that we had just picked up the merchandise on Tuesday and were willing to make a new purchase. We explained we could go somewhere else but wanted to buy from Art Van. The Manager looked at us and said, "Fine then." He meant go ahead and go somewhere else. I blew up and said, "This is *** Which I did apologize to him because of my behavior. He turned it around on me and said I had been yelling at him and made it personal and without saying a would we could tell he did not have any intention of working with us. I have never been treated like this in my life as a customer. He told us we should have read our receipt and basically washed his hands of us. We left the merchandise at the store and did not purchase another thing. The money they made from us was the restocking fee. The salesperson, customer service representative and warehouse worker were all fantastic. They know their Manager is not in the right business and should find a job somewhere else. Very disappointed in his behavior. Mine was totally wrong but I never raised my voice to him, he just wanted to blame me for the companies policy.

Cushions

$5000 worth of couches and we spend all day re-fluffing the cushions! I had to install a carpet anti-skid pad under the bottom cushions to keep them from sliding out constantly. The stuffing in the back cushions is worthless! So disappointed in this purchase. I have asked for a refund...I'll let you know what they say

I will never buy from art van ever again, A 2 months old chase used may 5 times as a rip caused by delivery which we did not see at delivery . They will not replace it because we did not see it at delivery . Never again...

Very poor service

Ordered a bed & base (floor model) in store. Delivery set for 12/21 delivery guys only had the mattress NOT the base, wasn't even on the invoice. Called Glendale Heights manager and he informed me the base was scheduled for 12/29 delivery and he didn't know why. However i told him that was unacceptable as to i need my bed asap . He sent the base the next day, however they didn't have the remote and my husband was furious. He wanted to send the bed back immediately. We spoke with service with no help except to ship one, the floor manager at Glendale heights at 12pm was a not helpful nor attentive to our situation. I asked if i can come get the remote and he informed me that he's not sure if its the right one. My husband was extremely furious at this point, so they had me come get the remote. He did offer any compensation or anything for a unpleasant experience. My husband not gonna do business their ever again he says. My husband is Donald Wilson 630-936-****. Have a blessed day.

Not Great

Purchase was supposed to include a free TV which is actually a gift card for $250. Made my purchase in Sept now it’s almost Dec still haven’t received it. Then was told I didn’t fill out an email form that of course I never received. Then I had a problem with my furniture and I was told it’s not cover under my $350 warranty. Of course I have to yell then they replaced my chair. Just an overall hassle to deal with Art Van. Will rethink my next furniture purchase.
